The George Nakashima Foundation preserves, protects and perpetuates the legacy of architect George Nakashima at his historic property in New Hope, Pennsylvania.

Our mission is to maintain the architecture and the collection of furniture George Nakashima designed and built on his and his family’s property.

The Nakashima Grounds

The Nakashima Woodworker’s Complex is designated a National Historic Landmark and listed on the World Monument Fund watch list.

The Complex is open the public April – October for tours with advance registration. Throughout the year the Foundation hosts special events and programming, and researchers and scholars are able to make appointments to view our Collection and Archives.
